Hello! Happy hump day! Do you love or hate that phrase? I hate overuse but personally I feel like I under use it. So it’s okay in my humble opinion.
What am I diggin today?
1. Summer Solstice and the brief day of summer (only yesterday… NOT today!) I’ve lived in Seattle for about 21 months and yesterday was the first day it was warm enough for me to wear shorts. Last summer it was warm enough to lay out in a swim suit ONCE. Yup. Hate hot weather? Move to Seattle. Sadly I believe this was an error in judgment for me… I LOVE summer heat. I’m always cold so it is nice to thaw out (<– my grandma always says that) every once in a while.
2. Eating outside and NOT freezing! Last night’s dinner: whole-wheat cous cous, chick pea, feta cheese, broc, carrots, asparagus, cauliflower, tomatoes, kale, spinach… perhaps more? Oh beets!! It had beets! And squash and milk on the side. I hate outside while reading “Four Spirits”. Have you read it?? I’m liking it… a bit slow to start but now I am really into it!
3. My new travel mug! Yes it is from THEE Forks! I got it on my camping trip. Makes me smile. And plus the inventor of travel mugs was a genius and I would like to celebrate them.
4. Starting new projects! I had a training meeting with the leader of a new project I’m taking on this summer. I’ll be assisting on a community needs assessment for a hospital. I’m really excited about it!Lot’s of interviewing of important people who are involved in health needs of a community? Yes please!
Do you like ‘doing nothing’ or do you get antsy to start new work? I definitely am uncomfortable not staying busy. I like to help people and I don’t like being idle for toooo long.
Stay happy!
Emily

Such a fun post!
I’m the same, in that I can’t stay still for too long without getting antsy. I like to feel productive. The way I see it, I can’t appreciate having nothing to do unless I have something to do.
OMG, I can’t believe it just got warm enough to wear shorts for you! I love the summer sun, but sometimes cooler, cloudy weather is definitely relaxing. That sounds like a great project! I’m terrible at doing nothing, and usually schedule things to do or make up projects to keep me busy.
Haha my boyfriend HATES the phrase Hump Day and I tend to use it most Wednesdays.
I definitely get antsy if I don’t have things on my plate – I much, MUCH prefer to be busy and occupied than slow and bored! Seems like you have some fun things coming up
